Patience has turned into anger, and anger into rage. And people are questioning the political leadership in the decision of banning currency. A united Opposition today called for a nationwide Bharat Bandh on November 28 to escalate their protest over the demonetization drive.
And while people are bleeding from the demonetization wounds, political leaders are busy reminding us of how some collateral damage is necessary! Now that more than a dozen opposition parties have decided to intensify their campaign against the note ban, the PM has urged people to speak ‘directly’ to him.
The gesture was too late and too little. Since the opposition leaders have been asking him to present himself in the parliament instead of speaking at rock concerts and television interviews, the PM is seen to be getting defensive.
Now it is left to be seen if the PM will change his stance after the announcement of this strike or will he continue his blunderous “surgical strike”
